Rule explanations
On this page I have in depth explanations on the rules I have for my twitch channel and discord. The reason this page even exists is because I want everyone to understand what is okay and what isn't so that no one is left unsure if something is allowed or not.
1. No hatespeech or discrimination
Do not say anything mean or cruel about someone’s race, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, or anything else about who they are.Slurs, offensive jokes, or “edgy” comments that target a group of people are not okay.Even if you’re “just joking,” it could hurt someone, so please be mindful of how your words might affect someone.💡 If you're not sure if something might be offensive, it's best to keep it to yourself or ask a mod privately.💡
2. Don't share links without permission
Please don’t post website links, Discord invites, youtube video links or any other links in the chat unless a mod says it’s okay.Even if it’s a funny or helpful link, ask first.Why? Because the automatic moderation will bonk you if you do. Mods will have to manually give you permission to post a link for the bot to not bonk you.I want you guys to be able to link things but for safety reasons it will always have to be requested first! This ensures that if someone random tries to link GeT rIcH fAsT dot COOM no one will even accidentally click it!
3. Be polite and listen to mods
Mods are here to help keep the chat safe and fun.If a mod asks you to stop doing something, please stop. They’re not trying to be mean — they’re just making sure everyone plays by the same rules.Being polite means treating others with respect, not being rude, excessively sarcastic, and not starting arguments.Treat people like you would like to be treated my momma always said!
4. Don't spam in the chat
Spamming means:Posting the same message over and overSending messages really fast that fill up the chat or sending a sentence that is split up in many single messagescopy-paste meme messages or ascii picturestrying to make a pyramid with emotes
5. Don't break twitch TOS
TOS means terms of service.
In short this is to cover my butt but also yours because if you break tos your account WILL BE BANNED. If you want to know twitches terms of service you can read them fully HereEven joking about something against the tos will result in a ban, for example if you say something like "I'm 10 years old" even if it's clearly a joke twitch will ban you so they won't be liable.
6. No self-promotion or promoting other streamers
Please don’t talk about your own stream out of the blue or say things like “I’m going live now!” in chat.Don’t come in just to shout out another streamer either, unless it’s someone who comes up in a conversation naturally or I am raiding them.The reason for this is because when I take my time to go live and I try my best to entertain everyone and have fun, nothing else hurts my feelings more than "hey I'm gonna go watch this and this instead" or "hey guys this person just went live"It's not nice or respectful and most likely whomever it is you are promoting will NOT like being promoted somewhere where it is not allowed! Even if you think you are doing them a favor.This goes for my channel too, PLEASE DO NOT PROMOTE ME IN OTHER PEOPLES CHANNELS UNLESS IT IS SPECIFICALLY ALLOWED BY THE STREAMER THEMSELVES!
7. Backseating is ok- But no spoilers!
“Backseating” means giving advice or tips while I play a game — that’s okay on my channel!BUT please don’t spoil the game. No hints about what’s going to happen next, especially for story games.
If I ask for help, go ahead! But if I didn’t ask, and it’s not obvious, try not to give away surprises.Also please do not assume this is okay in other channels! Usually most streamers do not like to be backseated when they are gaming, but personally I get stuck often and I like to be helped.
8. Don't traumadump
It’s okay to say you're having a rough day, I wanna do my best to cheer you up.But please don’t share very heavy or traumatic personal stories in chat (like abuse, self-harm, death, etc.).These topics can be upsetting or triggering for other chatters and are hard to handle live on stream. I am not a professional and I don't know how to handle something like this so please don't go into too much detail on stream.💡 If you’re in crisis, please reach out to a mental health resource or hotline in your area. You’re not alone and you do matter!! ❤️
9. Don't spam tts
TTS means Text To SpeechIf I have TTS enabled, please don’t abuse it by sending very long or repeated messages just to be silly or disruptive.Don't send copy-paste memes or raid messages.TTS is meant to be fun and helpful for me — not annoying or overwhelming.
